Story
I’m doing it .... the Bath Half Marathon THIS SUNDAY!
Why, because Bath are hosting the British Transplant Games 2010 (and because it’s a beautiful City to run round, hopefully motivational!).
I’m running for the Transplant Games because Transplant recipients are amazing, they have been given the Gift of Life and truly embrace it, competing in sport, trying new skills and generally living life to the full.
The Games are not only a celebration of transplant recipients lives but promote the NHS Organ Donor Register, which saves the lives of thousands every year through organ donation.
Transplant Recipients and Donor Families deserve the best Games we can offer and that means raising as much money as possible to make sure they experience well delivered sports competitions, an extra special Gala Dinner, get their t-shirt and commemorative medal and generally have a great time.
We also want to market and promote the Organ Donor register - spreading the word of the benefits of transplantation.
While I appreciate everyone supports their own chosen charity, if you can sponsor me even a £1 or more that will make a difference to hundreds of children like Ellie and adults who have gone a life saving organ transplant and help the 1000's of people waiting for a transplant in the UK. If you do or don’t sponsor me then please at least consider signing onto the NHS Organ Donor Register www.organdonation.nhs.uk More information about the Games can be found on the Charities page www.transplantsport.org.uk Thank you Emma Dean
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
