A year ago, a bunch of people from the futures industry in London decided to 'walk to work' from Tunbridge Wells to the City in aid of Futures For Kids. This took all day, and meant we only made it in time for an end of the day pint and piles and piles of restorative chips. I chickened out and only walked from Sevenoaks - still a good 23 or so miles, through the Kent countryside and suburbs, through Blackheath, Greenwich, Canary Wharf and finally to Cornhill. I vowed I would go the whole 35 miles this year, from Tunbridge Wells, and as there were many witnesses when I foolishly said this, I cannot go back on my word. So, the training starts now; the shoes have been broken in; and, more importantly, the fundraising begins.
