Angel Wishes was set up in memory of Helen and Brian Kerr and is a support group for children in Northern Ireland fighting cancer related conditions. We are run purely by volunteers and 100% of all money raised goes directly to providing treats and trips for the children. Memories last forever.

Story

Friday the 1st of October Darcie was diagnosed with leukaemia age 3. From then her life changed forever with sleepovers on the ward, theatre for her picc line, months of intense chemo, more theatres for treatment and a biopsy, faced two infections in her line aswell as many blood and platelet transfusions.

Darcie’s bone marrow showed rapid response to her Chemotherapy and after a rocky start of getting use to her journey she is doing really well and taking it all in her stride. Darcie is due to ring the bell in Jan 2024 long way to go but she’s got this!

Friends & Family generously raised a massive amount for Darcie’s family, they can now stay in their own wee bubble and keep Darcie safe whilst she attends hospital for her treatment. Dean & Danielle donated some of the raised money to The Childrens Cancer Unit Charity that provides practical & financial support to the Unit & Ward Darcie attends.

Now friends and family of Darcie are running the Belfast City Marathon to raise funds for a fantastic charity Angel Wishes that has supported Darcie from the get go! A family ran charity by volunteers that go above and beyond to help the families facing childhood cancer.
