Story
As you know, until recently I was a smoking, boozing, cheese-eating slob of a thing.
But then I hit 30, and everything changed...
Terrified by the ageing process, I ditched the fags (more or less), cut down on the booze (ish), and took up running.
After breaking my duck with a 5km Race for Life last year, I caught the bug and have upgraded to a half marathon. Yep, a whole 13 miles. Even scarier still, I've entered the London Marathon and am treating this merely as training for the real thing...
I've kept my target for the Great North Run fairly low because I will be hassling you all again come April for the Marathon, for which I'm hoping to raise £3k. But this half marathon is still a very big deal for me, I'm going to lots of effort to train and to go to Newcastle and back for the weekend with a full team of supporters, cheerer-ons, and foot massagers (Mr Coxy), so if you could spare just a few quid to make it all worthwhile, I'd be very grateful.
It's for a great cause. We all have grandparents, and dementia is an illness that affects millions.
Love Coxy xxx
