I was asked to join Simon’s Army - Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge by Sue & Chris in memory of their son Simon Beadel who sadly lost his life aged 25, whilst at home on Christmas leave from serving with the peacekeeping forces in Kosovo in 2009.
I didn’t personally know Simon but his family and friends are very dear to me and I like to support them when I can.
I am also doing it for all the other families & friends who have lost their loved ones.
I have set myself this challenge and I am determined to complete it!
The walk is approximately 24 miles in length with an elevation gain of over 1585m. We are aiming to complete this challenging trip in 12 hours.
