Story
Sadly, poor mental health is/has been a growing issue among the population for a while. As with many public services, funding to support people struggling with their mental health is so stretched. Often this results in people having a very long wait for the help and support they need. Sadly this is sometimes too late for some individuals. Unfortunately my family have seen first hand what poor mental health can lead to and the impact this has on not only the person suffering, but also the people that are left behind.
After several gin and tonics I thought it would be a good idea to agree to take on a half marathon with my brother and his girlfriend 🤦🏼♀ This is a massive challenge for me as I have never ran anywhere near this distance before; 2 years ago I couldn’t even run 1km let alone 21km! Anyway, I am rising to the challenge and currently following a training plan to help me complete the race. 💪🏻
I thought this would be a great opportunity to raise funds to support the amazing work that Mind (Norfolk and Waveney) charity does to support people suffering with their mental health. If the money I raise could go towards just one person getting the help they need then it would make running/crawling the 13.1 miles totally worth it! 🤞🏼🙏🏻
If you could show your support by donating anything at all, I would very much appreciate it. As the saying goes.. “every little helps!”
Thank you in advance 💖xxx
