Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit our page it's taken a while to gain the strength to write this page but here goes.
On 19th June 2014 our world changed when we welcomed our beautiful baby boy Alexander Corless Cutler into the world, Weighing a healthy 7lbs 14. Our girls were so overjoyed as was all the family where he settled in making our family complete. Life really couldn't have been more perfect.
Little did we know our world was about to be shattered and changed forever when Alex was taken ill at 12 days old after a rush to hospital where we soon learned he had an infection that was to be sepsis eventually causing septic shock shutting down his organs. Septic shock occurs after the body’s immune system overacts to an infection. He was a true fighter and battled on even after enduring three cardiac arrests but in the end he couldn't overcome the forth which took his life at 4.20am at 13 days old in the early hours of 2nd July.
Alex has taught us all that life is definitely too short and to take each moment for what it is and to enjoy what blessings you do have. We hope that Alex's short life can have a lasting positive impact, in raising funds ongoing for the Wonderfull team that is CATS (children's acute transport service) this team were called to transfers Alex to Great Ormand Street Hospital, however in the end he wasn't strong enough to make the journey. CATS is a publicly funded specialised intensive care transport service that solely relies on public funding. This service really could mean life or death for any baby/child.
As I'm currently not in a fit state for any physical activities being six months pregnanant Andy Foot and (John) Robert Wiggs, my brother in laws, are going to kick start our fundraising. They are participating in a 20 mile run involving 200 obstacles otherwise known as the "Rat Race". Any donations would be greatly appreciated. It means a huge amount to us to keep Alex's memory alive but also to do it in a positive way.
