We provide compassionate hospice care to improve quality of life right to the end

Story

Over twenty years ago my Grandad died at The Princess Alice Hospice having been diagnosed with cancer the previous year. Since then I have trained as a nurse and now work there as part of the community team of Princess Alice Nurses, one of the largest specialist teams in the UK, providing specialist care symptom control, essential advice and support, seven days a week, to patients, their families and their friends.

I remember visiting my Grandad in the hospice with my young children, the day before he died.  I have fond memories of sitting with him laughing at my Nan chasing my toddling Daughter around the gardens. I have always wanted to run the London Marathon and thought this would be a great way of repaying the Hospice for taking such great care of him and for also taking care of my Nan at such a difficult time.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
