Story

I’m carrying out the challenge of RED January to raise the profile of Stockport Mind and the link between physical activity & mental health.

This will be tough for me, but I’m sure it will help my own struggle against depression & improve my physical fitness.

I’ll be trying a variety of activities. Some days it might ‘only’ be a walk - but that’s still fresh air & exercise.  Happy to receive suggestions of activities I could try.

Stockport Mind is a charity that receives feedback such as "I owe my life to this service" and "Stockport Mind saved my sanity". Our frontline mental health services provide a range of support to people in the local community, but we would be unable to keep providing vital, life-changing services without all the amazing fundraising local people do for us. We're delighted to be involved in RED January and hope this can be a success for everyone.
