Story
My loving, smiley Nan died of Alzheimers after suffering from this horrible disease for many years. My Mum was diagnosed with it in 2021 and it's already robbing her of her memories, her relationships with her family and friends and her ability to live an independent life at 75 years old.
To try and give something back to this fantastic charity, I'm doing a few walking challenges throughout the year, which I will add to as I book them in (and get fitter!):
January: London Winter walk - 42km
June: Cotswold Way walk - 53 km
September: Thames Path walk - 100km
Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
