Story
I am excited and terrified at being given a place to run the 2022 London Marathon. I love running but I’ve never run further than a half marathon and the thought of running 26.2 miles is hugely daunting. The strength work, pilates, yoga, stretching and of course running is a much bigger commitment than I’d realised. Every sponsor is helping to spur me on!
It’s a difficult time to ask people for money but it’s also a difficult time for many charities. I’m running for the Animal Care Trust, the charity that supports the Royal Veterinary College and helps to improve the lives of animals worldwide. The Animal Care Trust helps fund cutting edge equipment and treatments for the hospitals where 20,000 poorly animals are cared for every year. It also helps fund research to provide new treatments and cures for diseases affecting animals around the world. It is only thanks to the overwhelming generosity of supporters that the Royal Veterinary College can keep advancing veterinary medicine and saving animals lives.
