We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

I'm running the Royal Parks Marathon for the third time this October, and once again would be very grateful for any generous donations towards helping the Alzheimer's Society.

Far more needs to be done to educate people about the early signs of Alzheimer's and Dementia so that they can be diagnosed, and treament and support arranged.  This is a very difficult illness to cope with, both for those suffering and their families and friends, and charities such as the Alzheimer's Society do an incredible job.

My grandmother was diagnosed with vascular dementia in the summer of 2012 and passed away a couple of days before I first ran the Royal Parks Half so this is a very personal cause, and the event itself feels quite significant for me now.

So, for the third year I'm hoping people will be as generous as they have previously.  I managed to knock 16 minutes off my PB last year, and hoping to do the same again this year (no promises).

Thank you for even the smallest donations - quite literally every little helps xxx
