Story
Hi everyone! 🏊♀️🤿
I’m going to be swimming 5 km in aid of Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie. It would be amazing if you could spare a pound to sponsor me. As many of you know, over the last 2 years my amazing and brave Mum has gone through chemotherapy, radio therapy and countless rounds of injections in her battle with breast cancer. She’s taken it in her stride and come out the other side and I can’t express how proud of her I am.
There are so many people who sadly don’t beat cancer, like my wonderful Grandad, and so many people have their own stories to tell. This is for all those touched by cancer one way or another. I may not be able to cure cancer, but I can at least raise money to help.
💗 Thank you! xx
Cancer Research UK is the largest charitable funder of cancer research in the world and will stay at the forefront of the global fight against cancer. 1 in 2 of us will get cancer. All of us can support the research that will beat it. Marie Curie is here for people with any terminal illness, and those close to them from diagnosis to bereavement. Our nurses and healthcare assistants support families directly across the UK. Our free support line can help with any question about end of life. And we campaign for structural change and fund vital research that improves end of life for everyone. On 12-14 May, thousands of swimmers will be heading to over 450 pools across the UK to raise money for our two amazing charity partners. Together we can really make a difference. We invite our swimmers to tell their story to help spread awareness and raise vital funds for these two incredible causes.
