Story

Completing a marathon has been on my bucket list for a while but I've always found an excuse to put it off. I aimed to complete it 2yrs ago but with COVID and a dislocated knee I was stopped in my tracks. 2022 is now the year!

I'm used to cheering our charity runners on at the London Marathon from the side line but next time I am going to be on the other side of the fence. I'll be running 26.2 miles/42km in October to raise funds for St Raphael's Hospice who cared for my Nan in 2012. They are an amazing organisation, that I am also lucky to work for, who support people at such a difficult time.

  • £10 could provide a delicious meal and drink for a patient
  • £30 could provide a reflexology session for a carer
  • £50 could provide one hour of specialist bereavement support to a friend or relative
  • £75 could provide expertise and resources to create a memory box for a young child
  • £165 could provide a visit to a patient at home from a specialist palliative care nurse

Please give as much as you can to help me reach my £2000 target, I know it will make a huge difference.

Thank you

Emily
