So...you may remember that in 2015 I managed to rope Jessica into months of training (of which she hated every second) so that Team Holyoake could run a 10k Race For Life. But with one week to go, I ended up in hospital for some fairly traumatic emergency surgery. Cue months of recovery for me, and a lonely (very wet) 10k for Jess. Oops.

In 2016 I'm determined to make it to the finish line. (Let's face it, making it to the start line would be an improvement.) 

I'll be running for the family members we've lost to cancer, those who gloriously managed to beat it, and, obviously, our dad, Tim, who was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in August 2014.
