Story
Hey everyone! Thanks for coming to my #GivingTuesday fundraising page. You're probably here because you're family or a friend, so thanks for considering supporting me in this way <3 I really love the work I do with Tennessee Justice Center as a Jesuit Volunteer. I never imagined I would get this kind of opportunity to work with people who are basically every day superheroes so soon after college (hence my tribute to them in my goofy superwoman picture!!). For the past 25 years, TJC has been on the front lines of statewide individual and system advocacy to secure the basic health care & nutrition thousands of Americans need to have lives of opportunity and dignity. For every $1 donated in 2019, TJC leveraged $165 in essential services like healthcare & nutrition for over 1 million Tennesseans throughout the state. In honor of that, I set my fundraising goal at $165!
To say thank you to all of our donors, I participated in a cook-off with my coworker, Bilal! I whipped out the famous family Irish soda bread recipe that I've been making my family eat every holiday for years. Check it out on TJC's facebook or Instagram on Tuesday, December 1.
Please consider donating - whether $5, $50, or $500, your contribution will help TJC make Tennessee healthier. A donation of any size gets a handwritten thank you note from my, and a donation of $20 gets a Healthcare Voter face mask (which I'm wearing in the picture). If you would like a mask, put it in the comments or text me. And BONUS: gifts up to $10,000 made betlween now and Dec. 1 are being matched by a very generous donor. Thanks so much everyone <3 Happy Giving Tuesday!
