Story
I received confirmation that I could run for the charity in October 2019, to run in 2020. I applied as I only wanted to run 1 marathon, little did I know that a pandemic was on the horizon. After two virtual London Marathons, this year I will finally run the London Marathon, in London and I can hang up my marathon trainers for good!! It is an honour to run for Children with Cancer UK and support the investment in research, to give new insights into ways of treating young patients with the aim to drive up the survival rate still further by developing more effective curative therapies with fewer toxic side effects. Cancer at any point in a life is difficult but loosing a child, a sibling as a child is devastating. My aim for this page is to raise a further £500 towards funding more research and the provision of support to families affected by childhood cancer. I appreciate everyone that has donated so far and those that continue to donate, it truly means so much, thank you x
