Story
Hello folks!
I'm doing this cheeky 10k basically because my friend Robyn is fab. She is beautifully optimistic, friend to everyone she encounters and can cheer me up even when I feel at my best.
Robyn also has epilepsy. I recently witnessed her first epileptic seizure in 12 months. This was one of the most terrifying experiences of my life. Had Stevie (Robyn's fantastic boyfriend) not been there, I don't know how I would have coped.
Thankfully Robyn is fine, and bounced back from this particular episode quickly. I however, have not. So I am running my way through Sheffield with the hope of raising some funds which might help people with epilepsy in some way, shape or form. Be that in educating others, funding research or medicine. Whatever it is, I would like to take how helpless I felt when Robyn had her seizure, and turn it into something productive.
Thank you for reading, if you could spare just a pound I would be very, very grateful. Hopefully, Robs can go another twelve months, and another and another without experiencing seizures. In the mean time, I'm putting my trainers on.
Big curly love to you all!
Em
