Story
Mamma Mia... Here we go again!
Joe, I miss you so much, and challenging myself in your memory gives me the strength to carry on, the same strength you so often gave me.
As many of you know, Joe was my friend, a great friend, at university and he was a truly amazing guy. Having tragically passed away in November 2017 at age 21, Joe left a hole in many people's hearts, including mine, and it is only right to remember him and honour his memory in any way we can.
Last year, I challenged myself with the swim section of this triathlon. This year, I am stepping it up, and completing the swim (1.9km) and the run (Half-Marathon) which to be quite honest, I am unsure if I am capable of completing! However, Joe always gave me the strength to carry on when things got tough and I will be channelling his positive energy as I stumble my way around!
The charity, in Joe's name, supports Mental Health projects around the UK, such a worthy worthy cause which I am so keen to support. http://www.beerharrismemorialtrust.org/joseph.htm
Your support means so much to me and Joe's family, and I can only thank you. The triathlon will be tough to get through, but not as tough as what Joe's family and friends feel every day.
