Fundraising for The Children's Hospital Charity
Story
Hi, I'm Emily Spencer, with my boyfriend Jack I am taking part in the Tough Mudder event, a 13 mile obstacle course in an attempt to raise money for Sheffield Children's Hospital.
This wonderful hospital has been instrumental in helping my nephew Alfie who has numerous health problems, both mental and physical, including Autism and a Hiatus Hernia, the latter necessitating a Fundoplication operation at the tender age of 8 months, Alfie subsequently suffers from respiratory problems due to lung scarring.
We want to show our appreciation towards the hospital by raising some money to aid other children who have health problems.
