Hair ye.... Hair ye....!!
During the week of June 7th, I will be
cutting 10 inches off of my hair in support of 2 children's charities.
First,
my luscious locks will be sent to "Angel Hair for Kid's" (www.acvf.ca),
a charity that makes wigs from
donated hair for children who have lost their hair from medical
treatments (like chemotherapy) or other illness.
Second, I'm
asking for people to sponsor my 'big chop' - all money raised will be
donated to the East Anglia Children's Hospice (EACH).
You may
ask why I'm doing this....
Having Brendan has changed my life
forever. Each and every day he makes me laugh and smile, and I am so
thankful that I am able to hug & kiss him, watch him grow and
develop.
But not all parents are as lucky as Kevin & I. Not all
parents are able to watch their little ones grow into adulthood. Some
parents have their children with them for such a short time...
East
Anglia Children's Hospice (EACH) supports children and families
through their experiences of caring for
children with life-threatening conditions and complex healthcare needs.
EACH is a registered children's charity and relies greatly upon public
financial support.
EACH delivers a full range of
children’s hospice care services in family
homes throughout Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and North Essex.
Their services include:
- - Care at end of life
- - Care for children and young people
- - Support for
families
- - Bereavement support
- - Practical help, advice & information
Please
give generously - both of these charities are incredible causes...
