We breed and train guide dogs to give blind people freedom and mobility

Story

Next April I will be completing one of the greatest challenges of my life, running a marathon. Guide dogs is a great charity, 180,000 blind and partially sighted people don't go out and leave their homes, Guide Dogs for the blind works to try and change this by training and providing Guide dogs.

Many restaurants, taxis and shops will not allow access to blind and partially sighted people with guide dogs, this is illegal but it still happens, Guide dogs is campaining to stop this.

If you can spare a pound to help me reach my £500 target it would be greatly appreciated.

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
