Story

Blake and I are cycling the 12 mile race of the Wedmore 40/30 event on the 10th September in aid of Weston Hospicecare, in memory of our Brother in law and Uncle, Dave who we lost last year.

12 miles might not be much at all to some but to a 5 year old, and an unfit 30-something year old (with possibly a 3 year old on the back) it is quite far! Any donations are very gratefully received and so important for Weston Hospicecare to continue doing the wonderful work they do in caring for people.

Receiving an end-of-life diagnosis can be difficult, not just for the patient but also for their loved ones. At Weston Hospicecare, our team of palliative care experts is dedicated to working together to provide specialist support. Our social, emotional, psychological, spiritual and physical care helps guide people through one of the most difficult experiences they will ever face. With only 20% of our funding coming from the NHS, we have to raise £4 million each year to fund our care - something that's only made possible by our community.
