I decided to sign up for the Swim Serpentine 18 months ago to complete the London Classics (London Marathon, Ride London and Swim Serpentine). 

Since signing up, and the swim being cancelled, our family have been personally affected by cancer, again. Cancer is truly awful, but especially so when it affects children, which is why I've been joined in my 2 mile swim by my husband (Rich), sister-in-law (Sara) and son (Will) to swim for Children with Cancer. My mother-in-law (Gill) may not be able to travel, but will complete a half mile swim in France. 

Open water swimming is a real challenge for me and I have never swum this far before! All sponsorship, however big or small, will help encourage all of us through the murky lake water! 

Children with Cancer UK actively raise and invest money for vital specialist research to save the lives of every child with cancer and keep their family together. Their vision is a world where every child diagnosed with cancer gets to ring their end of cancer treatment bell.
