Story
In November I suddenly lost my Dad, Barry, through an illness that had gone completely unnoticed to all of us. Losing Dad has left such a huge gap in our family. Our lives will not be the same without him.
He went to work as usual and in the early afternoon he tragically had such a catastrophic heart attack that he was gone in moments. He had an active lifestyle, held down a very manual job and didn't smoke. He was only 61 and looked the picture of health!
The shock of losing someone so suddenly, who was so loved, is indescribable.
By raising money for British Heart Foundation we hope to heighten awareness and fund more of the research needed to prevent this from happening to other families. This is why my cousin Ellie and I along with some friends, are doing the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge. It's a 24.5 mile walk, over three of the Yorkshire Dales biggest peaks (not forgetting the 12 hour target time!).
Heart Disease is the biggest killer in the UK. There must be a way to help identify others who could be suffering with similar undiagnosed and potentially fatal heart conditions.
Please help to us raise our target of £1,500!! Any contribution would be so welcome and greatly appreciated.
Thank you xxx
