Story
We are taking part in the 'Santa Base Race' as part of our sign-up to the Virtual Santa Fun Run this December. We will be getting Santa from one airbase to another starting with Doncaster to East Midlands, Coventry, and then finishing in Oxfordshire. 245km in total and just 1 week to do it! Our Community Fundraising team are walking, jogging, and dancing at least 5k each to contribute to that 245km total!
If you would also like to sign up to take part in the Virtual Santa Fun Run yourself, and walk, jog or run 1.5km or 5k in a location of your choice, then please follow this link here https://events.theairambulanceservice.org.uk/events/santa-fun-run/
Our Charity operates as the national Children's Air Ambulance and the local air ambulance services for Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland.
The Children’s Air Ambulance really is a unique service, flying critically ill babies and children to hospital for specialist care in the only dedicated neo-natal and paediatric helicopter emergency transfer, working alongside the flying NHS intensive care teams. We receive no government funding; we rely solely on the generosity of the general public and businesses to keep us in the air and flying to save lives.
Every day of the year, the local air ambulance services for Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland are helping save more lives. Our critical care paramedics, doctors, and pilots attend an average of five rescue missions a day. We deliver life-saving care within minutes to those in greatest need. Your support will help keep us flying.
We do not receive any government funding for either of the services and we rely entirely on donations to raise the money we need for each lifesaving mission.
