Story
Sue Ryder supports people through the most difficult times of their lives. Whether that’s a terminal illness, the loss of a loved one or a neurological condition – they’re there when it matters. Their doctors, nurses and carers give people the compassion and expert care they need to help them live the best life they possibly can.
Sue Ryder is where my beautiful mum spent the last few days of her life almost 4 years ago. They were absolutely incredible from the moment mum arrived in their care to the care and arrangements when mum left us. Mum was able to spend a few days in her own room with her family and her favourite being, Jack the doggy. They supported the family when needed the most.. I am taking part in the 50km walk/jog challenge which takes place on the date we lost such a huge part of our lives. (24th September).
Since mum passed away, I have been trying to get back in to my fitness continuously and have found it extremely difficult so really want to push myself to take on a challenge that would make mum proud but also give myself that kick I need to enjoy movement again!
The fact this event takes place on the exact date of mums Remembrance Day makes this challenge all that more special.
Any donations towards the target will be so greatly appreciated.
Thank you 🙏🏼
