Story
Hi,
Next year I am running the 2024 London Marathon for the ‘Meningitis Research Foundation’ and money raised will go towards research and treatment for Meningitis.
Mia’s story…
Up until Wednesday 9th March Mia Ginever was a happy, healthy, energetic, artistic 19 year old who enjoyed nothing more than being surrounded by her friends and family.
After suffering from a sore throat and headache, shortly followed by body aches, Mia was taken to hospital. Unfortunately she deteriorated very quickly and tragically passed away on 9th March - after only 3 days of being unwell.
Mia had unknowingly contracted Meningitis. An illness that gives very little warning and has the potential to kill within 24 hours.
Our worst nightmare is tragically losing someone close to us, someone we love … but for Mel, Phil, Abbey & Dan this was a nightmare they had to live through.
Mia’s left behind an abundance of friends and family, a mum, a dad, a brother, a sister - all of whom are relentlessly fighting for a world against meningitis. A world where others don’t have to feel the pain experienced from losing Mia.
Please share my page to help raise awareness of Meningitis. Sponsorships of any size will help me meet my target and make a huge difference to the Meningitis research foundation with further research and treatment💜 #forever19
Thank you so much
Emily
