Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Baby Lifeline is a wonderful charity and I always wanted to do something good for them, eventually I decided to stop procrastinating and just do something. So on the 26th of November (this year) I will be doing a sponsored skydive, it seemed like the perfect challenge since it is something I have always wanted to do but have always been too scared too do!
My aim is to raise as much as possible through sponsorship, £10 would go a long way but any amount would be gratefully received.
Baby Lifeline is a unique charity supporting the care of pregnant women and newborn babies all over the UK and worldwide.
Baby Lifeline works with leading health and legal professionals to identify and prioritise equipment needs for the maternity sector, as well as cutting edge training for continuing professional development - to improve care already given.
Equipment ranges from small items such as digital weighing scales for babies to major pieces of technology such as incubators, scanners and various monitoring equipment.
Through personal experience I have seen the amazing difference this extra help can make to people's lives. My own younger brother was born at 29 weeks and weighed just 3 pounds 5 ounces (relatively large for a baby born so early) and needed a great deal of care to survive. He required a ventilator to breathe, numerous blood transfusions, to be on a heart monitor and to have a great deal of one-to-one care.
Without that care he would not be here today, and as a thank you I want to raise as much as possible and will do anything to help others who were in the same position as my family was when my brother was born.
