Story
This June I will be completing the National Three Peaks Challenge – climbing the highest peaks in England (Scafell Pike 978m), Wales (Snowdon 1,085m) and Scotland (Ben Nevis 1345m) in under 24 hours.
I am raising money in aid of the Teasdale and Weardale Search and Mountain Rescue Team. The team responds to requests by the police to a range of incidents, from injured or lost people in the in the hills to vulnerable missing people in urban settings. The rescue team consists of about 50 volunteers, all on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Team vehicles, rescue kit, medical supplies and operational running costs are in excess of £55,000 per year so they rely on donations from to public to allow them to continue providing this free public emergency service.
I would really appreciate any donations you would be able to make,
