On the 16th May 2014, I will be taking part on a trip to Zambia along with 19 of my collegues to complete the build of a primary school in Kabaka.

BGL Group have funded the building of a new school with three classrooms,new sanitation facilities, plus a house for teachers.  

1 in 4 children do not finish primary school and only 28% of children go onto secondary school, so this will make such a difference to this community and the future of the children.

Over 64% live below the poverty line so the build of this school not only helps secure a better future for the children, but also the adults in the community as they are involved in the project. So far over 200 men and women have been trained in building skills that they can also use to build a better future for themselves.

 I am so honored to have been selected to experience this, it will be tough, but the rewards will be amazing and the experience will stay with me for the rest of my life.
