Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit ourJustGiving page.

As many of you may know, in December 2022 our world fell apart when we lost our beloved Dad, Husband and Bampi. Dad was taken ill suddenly and unexpectedly in October 22. After extensive investigation we were given the devastating news that Dad had Sporadic CJD (Creutzfeld-Jakob Disease). This is a rare and fatal neurodegenerative disease, which is characterised by its rapid progression.

There is currently no effective treatment that can slow down or cure CJD.

We are fundraising for the National Brain Appeal, a charity that raises money for the Queen Square Institute of Neurology in London. This funds vital research into all neurological diseases, and is home to the National Prion Clinic where research and development is done into CJD and other neurodegenerative diseases. Hopefully one day there will be an effective treatment for CJD.

Thank you for your support.

Love from
