Story
In June 2022, I’ll be taking part in a nationwide university challenge, Dash to Dubrovnik, in aid of Hope for Children. The challenge takes place across 8 days, during which time my friends and I will work as a team to drive to Dubrovnik in Croatia. Aside from finding and funding a car for £500 or less (which could be a challenge in itself!), perhaps the biggest part of the challenge is raising another £600 to be able to partake.
Hope for Children is an international humanitarian charity working to create opportunities for overlooked, vulnerable and exploited children living in extreme poverty. Their work currently focuses on five countries - Ghana, India, The Philippines, Sri Lanka and Uganda, where they work with local people to create sustainable solutions.
In order to raise as much money as possible for what is undoubtedly an amazing cause, in February I will be running 100 kilometres in 28 days. This will be a significant mental and physical challenge for me, having not really done any distance running since I was a competitive runner in secondary school.
It would be mean the world to me if you can give anything you can to support me in this challenge and enable me to raise as much as possible for Hope for Children. If you could share my page as well, that would be even better!
Thank you in advance and happy new year to you all,
Emily x
