Story
With this year being my final year at University, I wanted to challenge myself whilst raising money for charity. Therefore, I will be completing the Three Peaks next June (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon) in order to raise money for the National Autistic Society (NAS).
Particularly amidst the pandemic and the panic that comes along with it, it can be harder for people with Autism to nagviate this different approach to life. It is harder to socially interact and get help for everyone at the moment, which is why raising money and coming together within a community is all the more important.
NAS is the UK's leading charity for people on the autism spectrum and their families. They provide support, help and direction to anyone in need, as well as constantly campaigning for improved rights, better services and opportunities. Autism is a lifelong developmental disability which affects how people communicate and interact with the world. One in 100 people are on the autism spectrum and there are around 700,000 autistic adults and children in the UK.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
I hope to raise as much as I can, and when restrictions are lifted create fundraising events and activities to raise more and spread awareness. I will appreciate any donation and support you can offer! Thank you x
