Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Hello my name is Emily Burton and I am 9yrs old. I am going to do a 48hr sponsored silence to raise money for Cancer Research.
Why I chose a sponsored silence:
I chose a sponsored silence because it will be a challenge for me and I want to prove myself. My friends and family know how much I like to talk therefore this is something I will find difficult, so hopefully this will encourage people to sponsor me and I will be able to raise lots of money for a worthwhile cause.
Why I decided to fundraise for Cancer Research:
My Mum has endometrial carcinoma which is the Latin term for cancer of the womb. My Mum is currently on Chemo but Chemo doesn’t just target the bad cells its kills the good cells too, so cancer research can help scientist and doctors develop medicine that will only kill the bad cells and helping people like my Mum get better. Cancer Research doesn’t just help with Chemo, but lots of other things too.
