Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I started getting involved with Sense at the beginning of 2013, this involved going on Holiday Plus with 6 brilliant people. I couldn't have had a better time with them and I brought away a lot of fond memories and I'm sure they did too!
In August 2013 I went on holiday with a group of teenagers and although it was a completely different type of holiday it was also very rewarding and enjoyable. Everyone had a wonderful time and it allowed their parents to have a break as well.
After that I decided that I would like to do more for Sense so I looked into options of fundraising for them as I feel they are a great charity to be involved with and I know through experience with the holidays that money raised goes to a good cause. Not only involving holidays but day to day things such as offering early assessments to deafblind children and support to their parents and family.
As little as £5 could buy a set of musical bells that help stimulate even the tiniest amount of a deafblind child's hearing in music therapy.
If you want any more information you just have to ask! I will answer what I can and what I can't I can easily find out through my contacts at Sense. So far this year I've managed to volunteer for 336 hours. I'm alwaays on the lookout to see if I can do more though!
