Story
Welcome to the UCL takes on the Colombia Lost City Challenge!
I will be fundraising £2,800 for the Meningitis Research Foundation with UCL in order to help MRF defeat meningitis and septicaemia by 2030.
In February I will be running 5km every single day to raise money for MRF! Then in August I will be trekking 9 days through the rainforest to Colombia's Lost City!
All of your donations will go directly to MRF research!
- Meningitis is the swelling of the lining in the brain and spinal cord caused by germs
- Septicaemia is blood positioning caused by the same germs as meningitis
- Meningitis is the second biggest infectious killer of children under 5
- 1 in 10 people infected die and can kill you in just 12 hours
MRF has a goal to defeat meningitis by 2030 by funding vital research, advocating for change as a dedicated champion for those it affects, and taking action that benefits people, including running awareness campaigns, working with health policy leads and practitioners, and providing support and information.
How i am raising money, events and updates will be posted on my JustGiving page and my fundraising account @emilyalicerooneyfundraising
Any support through donations will be hugely appreciated! Thank you!
