Story
Rhinos were once found throughout Eurasia and Africa,
but today, three of the five rhino species are Critically Endangered, meaning they face a high chance of extinction.
In recent years, rhino numbers have dropped dramatically due to poaching for their horn which is prized in Asian countries. The Rangers, who stand in the way of a massacre are the thin wall separating Africa’s last remaining Elephants and Rhinos from multi billion-dollar trade in wildlife goods. Ivory and Rhino horn have reached such value that it has created a breed of poachers who are armed to the teeth and willing to risk their lives for their trade.
In partnership with Save the Rhino and For Rangers, I took the opportunity to join the fight by taking on a life changing challenge in the home of long distance running: BeyondTheUltimate ForRangers Ultra 2021
Having in mind to support the protection of Elephants and Rhino, I wrote a motivational book, ''Door to Jungle, Door to Yourself''. I will open up the book to all the donors in this fundraising campaign. Donations go directly towards the welfare of the people fighting to protect the future of rhinos and elephants, and the families that many leave behind.
