Myton September Skydive · 29 September 2018 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We are taking part in this skydive to help make more awareness of Myton Hospice and to help raise more to support the excellent care they offer.
We are doing the skydive in memory of our Great Auntie Carol. Carol sadly died at the age of 61 of cancer after her battle ended in February 2017. Her battle began in July 2014 when we discovered a rare high grade Sarcoma (lump) on her leg. In October 2014, she had her leg amputated above the knee to get rid of the cancer. Carol had a few months cancer free but then sadly in the summer of 2015 she had a small cancerous mass removed from her lungs. Again this gave her a few months cancer free, but unfortunately on 12th February 2016 she was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Carol was the strongest person we knew. She never complained about the pain she was in and she just kept fighting on. She is a real inspiration to us. We would go to her flat everyday to spend time with her, cook her food and play games together along with our Mum Helen and Grandma Celia. We would take her out shopping and treat her to new clothes. She still kept fighting through. On 10th February 2017, Carol was really suffering with her pain from the tumours. She was taken to Myton Hospice in Warwick where she was given a room. We stayed with her all night along with our mum and grandma. Carol sadly passed away in Myton Hospice two days later on 12th February 2017 surrounded by all of her loved ones.
We have decided to give something back to Myton for all of their support with Carol and us as her family and that is why we are doing the skydive to help raise money. They are an amazing charity and we don’t think many people realise how much they do.
Any donations will be greatly received.
Thank you,
Emilia and Nayana ❤️
