It was said by the locals in Sylhet that they have not witnessed such a flood in the last 40 years.

In Sylhet Districts, Gowainghat, Kanaighat, Companiganj, Jaintiapur, and Sylhet Sadar are the worst hit by the flood.

In Sunamganj, the situation is worse in Chhatak and Dowarabazar upazilas along with Tahirpur, Jamalgonj, Bishwambazarpur and Sunamganj Sadar.

All roads submerged under water. Peoples homes flooded to the roof, no fresh water or food is available. It is only a matter of time before we start to the floating bodies as will be no land to bury the dead.
