Story
As many of you know, the Underwood gals plan to walk 26 miles across Dartmoor on 21st August to raise money for Alzheimer's society. The training is going well. The fund raising (the whole purpose of doing this in the first place) isn't! This is primarily due to the fact that we have only just published our 'Just Giving' page. So, on the basis that we haven't asked anyone for any money yet, it's hardly surprising that we haven't raised any cash!
But don't worry! There is still plenty of time for you to donate. Any contribution, no matter how small, will be gratefully received.
It is with great sadness that many of us have seen some of our most cherished family or friends suffer from this terrible disease. It's heart-breaking. There is no cure, but researchers and scientists are working very hard to find one. In the meantime, given the right treatment, care and support, people can be given the best quality of life possible. And we all want that for our loved ones don't we?
Wish us luck! It would be nice to say that we are both looking forward to it but that would be a big fat lie! (dreading it- imagining the hobbling and the blisters already!)*
Thank you for every single penny you give.
Lesley and Emma xx
* Oh, and coming last. They'll be out on the moor with torches. The shame :(
