Elvis Presley: The King of rock and roll
Elvis Voe: a remote inlet to the north of Bressay in the Shetland Islands

Elvis to Presley: a 400 mile walk linking Elvis (Voe) and Presley in aid of Cancer Research; also known as the King of Walks
Thank you for visiting the Elvis to Presley fundraising page. Please dig "Way down" into your pockets and sponsor us online. As you can see, we are aiming to raise at least £5000 for Cancer Research.
We set off from Elvis Voe on April 20th 2006, aiming to arrive in Presley a month later on May 20th. A route has been plotted through Shetland, Orkney and the Highlands that take in a number of localities with somewhat tenuous Elvis links including:
The Lash which is either a headland on Orkney or the stretch of water next to it (as in “Viva Lash Vagueness”)
Letterewe (“Love Letterewe Estate from my heart”)
Loch Maree (as in “Loch Maree is the name of her latest flame”)
Kinlochewe (“I can’t help falling in Kinlochewe)
Loch Monar (“That’s alright Monar”)
Beinn Sgritheall aka Ben Sgriol (“He goes by the name of Ben Sgriol”)
Glen ‘Kingie’ (near Glenfinnan)
Ben Nevis (as in “It’s now or Nevis ”)
Corrour (As in “Don’t be Corrour-el”)
For further details of the route and information about our sponsors, please visit our website at: www.kingofwalks.org
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Cancer Research will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Please sponsor us now and many thanks for your support. So as the great man once sang on A little less Conversation:
“Come on baby I'm tired of talking
Grab your coat and let's start walking"
