Fundraising for Salisbury District Hospital Stars Appeal
Story
I have been a midwife as part of the Salisbury Hospital for 18 years and want to take part in trekking The Great Wall of China to raise much needed funds for a second MRI scanner for the hospital. I see the effects of the work the Stars Appeal do in my job every day.They are essential to the running of the hospital and have supported so many families in the maternity unit, including the Benson suite, providing parent's accomoodation on NICU and billimeters for community midwives.
In April 2019, I will be walking 70km of the Great Wall of China and am hoping to raise £1410.00. All of the money I raise will be going to the Stars Appeal.
The Stars Appeal is Salisbury District Hospital’s charity (no.1052284). We raise money to create the best possible experience for patients and their families by funding extra care and equipment over and above that provided by the NHS. We work hard to help local people across all wards and departments, with particular focus on cancer, cardiac care and children.
