Story

Thanks for taking time to visit my page.

Here at the University, we have a campaign to raise £200,000 for research into Palliative care and End of Life studies.  This work at our Sue Ryder Care Centre is ground-breaking and is helping to ensure that people not just here in the UK, but worldwide, get the dignified care they need and deserve at the end of their life.  We need dedicated researchers who are willing to take on this difficult area, to help improve understanding and professionalism of health care treatment.

When deciding on doing the marathon, I immediately wanted to give to skin cancer research, but realise this is so very personal, so I have decided to do both.  For every pound you lo raise for the Sue Ryder Centre, I'll match it and send a further donation to Skin Cancer Research.  Deal?!  (By the way, I have already donated to Sue Ryder too!).

So, anything you can do is so very much appreciated; not just by me (who will be needing every ounce of inspiration by mile 25), but by the countless and nameless people who will benefit from your generosity.  Thank you!

Note - Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
