PLEASE HELP ME, HELP CHILDREN STAY WARM THIS WINTER.
£14 buys a coat for a child in Syria. I'm going without my coat on Friday and hoping to raise enough money to buy 3 coats, so please sponsor me and the money will buy the coats for the children.
Last winter, five-year-old Shahed didn’t have a coat. She had fled with her family from Syria to a refugee camp in Jordan with very little. When winter came, Shahed stayed inside her family’s unheated caravan wrapped in a blanket. It was warmer to stay in there than it was to be outdoors, where, without a coat, it was too cold to play.
Being given a coat by World Vision changed everything for Shahed. This winter she no longer fears being cold. She can walk to school and play outdoors without shivering or feeling miserable.
“My jacket is very warm and very nice,” Shahed says. “Now I can play outside all the time! I play hide and seek, I hide behind the caravan, over there, or sometimes inside, or behind my aunt’s caravan.”
