My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was 10 years old, she was a very strong woman and fought for a long and painful 4 years until sadly in 2007 when I was 14 she lost her battle, and passed away peacefully in her sleep. I have always wanted to raise money for cancer charitiea but hallways have struggled comiting myself, now 7 years later I have finally worked up the courage and the strength to do something I consider drastic, shaving my head! My hair has always been a love of mine and I feel doing this is personal to me as I could never dream of running a marathon or anything physical! so for the next 9 months I'll be growing my hair out as long as possible and then on the 12th of October (my mothers birthday) I will be doing the deed and having my head shaved for this wonderful cause!
