Story
We have decided to rally an SHP team together including colleagues and friends to run the Royal Parks Half Marathon in memory of one of our clients and to raise some money for the great work SHP do.
Darren sadly lost his battle to cancer this year. Darren had been supported by the charity for many years and had overcome so much on his journey out of homelessness. No matter what was going on Darren was there with a smile on his face and would make you laugh. He always had the why not attitude and would give everything a go, he had a big impact on every person he met. Darren spoke about wanting to complete a 5k. So we've decided to take it one step further and run a half marathon in memory of him.
We've decided to raise money for SHP to help them to continue doing the vital work they do, in particular their crucial work around the health needs and rights of those experiencing homelessness. This project aims to remove the barriers, marginalisation and discrimination they face on a daily basis and improve their quality of life.
