540km in January—one step closer to London to Paris! 🚴‍♀️

This month, I cycled over 540km as part of my training for the London to Paris ride with Action Medical Research for Children.

Why am I doing this?

Eight years ago, I was diagnosed with cervical cancer and an ovarian tumor, leading to multiple surgeries and an uncertain future. In the midst of it all, I made a promise to myself: once I was out of the hospital, I’d take back control of my body—and I’d buy myself a bike.

Fast forward to today: while the road wasn’t easy, I’m incredibly grateful to be a mother to two amazing children—thanks to modern medicine, dedicated NHS staff, and the life-changing power of medical research.

When I’m on my bike, I feel strong. I feel free. I feel like I can conquer the world.

Every child deserves the chance to grow up strong enough to learn to ride a bike and experience that same joy.

That’s why, this July, I’ll be cycling 540km from London to Paris in just four days—raising funds for Action Medical Research, a fantastic charity dedicated to helping children live healthier, longer lives.
