Story
Around 145,000 children and their parents live in poverty in Greater Manchester. With the rise in living costs, that figure will only increase.
Those of us living in Manchester know that homelessness, disadvantage and the wider impact of poverty is, unfortunately, rife. Whilst poverty and lack of essential resources are a devastating theme year-round, the dropping temperatures, rising energy costs and hikes to food bills make the festive period particularly difficult for thousands of local children and their families.
I am calling on my friends, family and wider network to donate what little they are able to in order to help give families in need the safest and most comfortable Christmas possible. If you can't donate, please consider sharing this page with someone who could.
All donations will be used to buy essentials for the Central Manchester Food bank, who distributed over 30,000 meals to local residents in need in 2021.
