Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As a lot of you may know already, mental health awareness is a huge passion of mine and something I believe deserves a place in mainstream education and everyday conversation.
I was 14 when I first began to struggle with my own mental health and it’s taken me the best part of a decade to accept that, say it out loud but actually become proud of who I am and the strength and resilience each obstacle has given me.
Place2be believe no child should have to face their mental health or illness alone, and provide 1-1 counselling in schools across the UK. It’s the work of organisations like these that I wish existed when I was younger, but they give me so much hope for future generations that’ll be taught the importance emotional intelligence as well as academic, and be reassured that they’re not alone, they’re not abnormal and they shouldn’t feel ashamed of who they are or what they might be going through.
Last year I managed 125miles across the month of May but 13.1 in one go is definitely a first🥲, so if you can donate, promote the work of Place2be and cross all fingers n toes that my little legs make it over the finish line, I’d be incredibly grateful💕
